Account Setup & Login
This guide covers everything you need to create your Cloudegree account, sign in, and configure your profile for the best learning experience.
Creating Your Account
Option 1: Email & Password
- Go to /auth/signup
- Enter your email address and create a password
- Fill in your name and any required fields
- Click Create Account
- You'll be signed in and redirected to your Dashboard
Option 2: Sign In with Microsoft
If you have a Microsoft work, school, or personal account:
- Go to /login
- Click the Providers tab
- Click Sign in with Microsoft
- Authorize Cloudegree to access your basic profile information
- Your account is automatically created on first sign-in
This is ideal for enterprise users and anyone already in the Microsoft ecosystem.
Option 3: Sign In with Google
- Go to /login
- Click the Providers tab
- Click Sign in with Google
- Select your Google account and authorize
- Your account is created automatically
Signing In
Once your account exists, sign in at /login:
- Email & Password tab — enter your credentials and click Sign In
- Providers tab — click Microsoft or Google to sign in with OAuth
Forgot Your Password?
- Go to /auth/forgot-password
- Enter the email address associated with your account
- Check your email for a password reset link
- Click the link and set a new password at the reset page
Setting Up Your Profile
After your first sign-in, take a few minutes to complete your profile at /profile. A complete profile helps mentors and the community get to know you.
Essential Fields

How to Update Your Profile
- Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
- Select Profile from the dropdown
- Navigate through the tabs: Profile, Account, Privacy, Bootcamps
- Edit any field and save your changes
Privacy Settings
Control what others can see about you in the Privacy tab:

You can update these at any time from your profile page.
Account Security Best Practices
If Using Email & Password
- Use a strong, unique password (12+ characters with mixed case, numbers, and symbols)
- Don't reuse passwords from other services
- Use your password reset link if you suspect unauthorized access
If Using Microsoft or Google
- Your account security is managed by your identity provider
- Ensure 2FA / MFA is enabled on your Microsoft or Google account
- Removing Cloudegree access from your provider will prevent sign-in
Managing Your Account
View Your Enrollments
Go to the Account or Bootcamps tab on your profile to see:
- All bootcamp registrations
- Payment status for each registration
- Enrollment dates and bootcamp schedules
Delete Your Account
If you need to delete your account:
- Go to /profile
- Navigate to the Account tab
- Scroll to the account management section
- Follow the deletion process
Note: Deleting your account removes your profile data. Active bootcamp enrollments may need to be resolved separately — contact support if needed.
Recover Your Account
If you've previously deleted your account and want to return:
- Go to /profile → Account tab
- Use the account recovery option
- Follow the steps to restore your profile
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution | |-------|----------| | Can't sign in | Check your email/password, or try the provider sign-in method you used originally | | Forgot which sign-in method | Try each method — your email will match if an account exists | | Password reset email not received | Check spam/junk folders; wait 2–3 minutes; try again | | OAuth authorization error | Clear browser cookies, try incognito mode, or use a different browser | | Profile changes not saving | Ensure you click Save; refresh the page and try again |
